An honest strategy before you build.
Half the AI projects we see fail because the team built the wrong thing. The other half fail because they built the right thing on the wrong foundation. Before we touch any code, we do the unsexy work of figuring out which problems are worth solving and which aren't. Most teams leave our strategy sprint with a shorter list than they came in with.
What a strategy engagement looks like
Two weeks. Week one: we sit with your team, watch the work, talk to the people doing it, and map where time actually leaks. Week two: we draft a prioritized list of opportunities with rough cost, time, and impact estimates — and an honest opinion on which we'd build, which we'd buy off-the-shelf, and which we wouldn't touch.
What you walk away with
A written brief: the three or four highest-impact opportunities, what each one would actually take, and what could go wrong. A short list of off-the-shelf tools that would solve specific problems without custom build. And a plain assessment of whether AI is even the right tool for the work — sometimes the answer is a better form or a process change.
What we won't do
We won't tell you everything is exciting. We won't push you toward custom builds when an existing tool would do. We won't bury the assessment in 60 slides of generic AI hype. If your business doesn't need any AI right now, we'll say so and you'll save yourself a quarter.
Questions teams ask first.
Can you do strategy without doing the build?
Yes. Most clients hire us for strategy and then either build internally, hire someone else, or come back for one specific project. No retainer required.
How much does a strategy sprint cost?
Fixed-price for two weeks of focused work, ending with a written brief and a working session to walk you through it. We send a proposal after the first call.
What if the answer is 'don't build anything'?
Then you save the next twelve months of opportunity cost. We've told three clients exactly this in the last year. They're still happy clients.
Tell us where you think AI might help and we'll spend two weeks figuring out whether you're right.
